Profile Summary
-
I was educated in the south of France,
where I studied for and obtained a "baccalaureat" with the mention "AB".
-
I have obtained an honours degree in
economics from the University of Aberdeen.
-
During my school years, and since leaving
university, I have been employed in a wide variety of functions, but am
now a full-time information technology
contractor.
-
Currently working for a large swiss
banking corporation, contibuting to the scripting and testing of thousands
of applications destined for rollout
on a new NT4 based platform. Also studying for the last 2 exams needed
for
“MCSE” certification.
Educational Background
1991-1995 MA (Hons) Economic
Science, University
of Aberdeen.
My degree course provided me with
a broad knowledge of modem economic
analysis, both theoretical and
applied, as well as reinforcing my ability to acquire and extract specialised
information. The mathematical section of the course improved my numeracy
and acquainted me with a wide variety of analytical tools.
My final year dissertation, "An
Economic Analysis of Field Development, with
particular reference to the role of FPSO'S"
saw me involved in the widespread
collection of data from a multitude
of sources, including direct contact with major oil companies.
This was the part of my course that I gained the most from, in that
it involved the use of various computer based applications, and taught
me to allocate time efficiently.
1989-1991 Baccalaureate
"G3", Institut d'Etudes Tertiaires.
Most of my education was conducted
in the south of France, the obtention of a
"baccalaureate" being the intended
culmination of the exercise. I finally achieved this goal following
many years spent learning to adapt to a new cultural environment and to
operate in a foreign tongue. Despite the obvious difficulties incurred
by a sudden change in linguistic and cultural environment, I am now very
grateful to have enjoyed such an experience, and I rate my mastery of the
French language as, by far, my most valued skill and asset.
1987-1989 Brevet des Colleges,
Lycee Albert Premier, Monaco.
The "Brevet des Colleges" is, I
believe, the French equivalent of GCSEs,
the main difference being that
the French qualification covers a "package" of subjects, whereas the British
one treats individual subjects separately.

the installation of three NT-Servers,the deployment of circa two hundred
windows95 Desktop PCs, and the

the
